Health Care Graduate Program
Presentation
The Health Care Graduate Program – stricto sensu – at the Federal University of Triangulo Mineiro (UFTM) emerges from discussions, reflections and practices experienced by professors of the Nursing School. It meets the need for qualified health care professionals who are able to teach, produce and disseminate scientific knowledge.
Objective
To train professionals in nursing and health areas, who will be qualified to teach using innovative education technologies, with ethical and professional posture, social responsibility and pedagogical/interpersonal skills. Also, professionals who are capable to identify potential research problems and to conduct scientific investigations.
To train researchers/scientists in nursing and health care areas who seeks technology innovation and better care quality, training of human resources and implementation of public policies towards social and economic development.
Target audience
Graduates from majors such as: Nursing, Physical Education, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Phonoaudiology, Medicine, Nutrition, Dentistry and Occupational Therapy, with certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education.

This program brings together knowledge from the broad health area, with a particular approach to the intrinsic issues concerning the health system and a focus on progressive care and organization of health care networks, and also on the health work process - especially nursing.

Requirements for Admission
For the Master´s Program
a) Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) completed in: Nursing, Physical Education, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Phonoaudiology, Medicine, Nutrition, Dentistry and Occupational Therapy. All degrees must be recognized by the Ministry of Education. b) English language proficiency recognized by certificate of approval in one of the following certificates and respective scores: I – TOEFL – minimum score: 400 / II - IELTS – minimum level 6 / III - Cambridge: FCE, CAE, CPE – minimum level C / IV - PET – minimum score: 60 / V – TEAP – minimum score: 60 (biology or health area)
For the PhD Program
a) Undergraduate degree (Bachelor) completed in: Nursing, Physical Education, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Phonoaudiology, Medicine, Nutrition, Dentistry and Occupational Therapy. All degrees must be recognized by the Ministry of Education. b) Masters degree or declaration of current enrollment in a Masters program recognized by Capes and expected date of conclusion up to the enrollment date. Such declaration must be issued by programs in Health Care, Nursing, Health Sciences and related areas, according to Capes table. c) English language proficiency recognized by certificate of approval in one of the following certificates and respective scores: I – TOEFL – minimum score: 500 / II - IELTS - minimum score: 70 / III - CAMBRIDGE Advanced – minimum score: 70 / IV- PET – minimum score: 60 / V- WAP – minimum score: 50 (biology or health area) / VI – TEAP – minimum score: 80 (biology or health area)
