The Professional Master of Mathematics on a National Network (PROFMAT in Portuguese) has a national offer and requires classroom attendance and online involvement. It is coordinated by the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM in Portuguese) and is composed of higher education institutions that are associated to a National Network within the scope of the Brazilian Open University System. Upon completion, students receive the title of Master of Mathematics.

Objective

To promote continuing education for teachers of public education at the graduate stricto sensu level in Mathematics, with the use of distance education Technologies.

Target Audience

Student body is made up of regular students holding an undergraduate degree recognized by the Ministry of Education and is primarily made up of public basic education professors who work with mathematics teaching.

In case the places offered are not fulfilled by professors of public education networks, the remaining vacancies may be made available to social demand in order to complete class groups.
