The Engineering programs aim at the training of professionals with critical and humanistic spirit of leadership, with solid theoretical and practical knowledge, who are able to keep up to date with engineering evolutions. It also aims at training professionals whose broader goal is to increase companies´ productivity by associating technical, economical and management knowledge in order to rationalize work, enhance the production systems and improve the logistics, commercial and financial activities of an organization, promoting the continuous improvement of productive systems in all economy sectors.

Labor market

By having technical, administrative, economic and humanistic knowledge, the work field of the industrial engineer surpasses the industry limits. Such professionals are qualified to work in companies from almost all sectors, such as:

- Industries of different types: automobile, household appliances, metal mechanics, etc.

- Service companies such as transport companies, civil construction, consultancies, hospitals, etc.

- Investment banks, insurance companies and pension funds (with investment analysis).

Admission Options

Sisu - Students who are interested in applying for a place at UFTM must necessarily sign up and take the tests related to the National Examination of High School Education – Enem. 

Transfer students - Intended for UFTM students who are attending related majors, as well as for students from other national or foreign higher education institutions who wish to transfer to the same major or to related majors.

Diploma holders – Intended for candidates who have already completed a higher education major and who are willing to attend a new undergraduate major at UFTM.

Readmission – Intended for students who are not enrolled anymore in any undergraduate major at UFTM but wish to return to their studies.
