Graduate Program in Physical Education
Presentation
The Physical Education graduate program at Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (PPGEF/UFTM) was approved by CAPES at the end of 2010. This is a fact of great relevance given that the undergraduate major in Physical Education at UFTM started in 2009. The program aims at developing and deepening skills and critical knowledge of the master student, preparing him for the higher education teaching and for research in the Physical Education and Sports area. Currently, there are 18 PhD. professors (permanent and collaborators) engaged in the program, and 5 lines of research.
Objective
The objective of the program is to train professionals to develop advanced studies in order to produce, expand and deepen knowledge on the area, fostering professional development with a commitment to social practice which aims at improving living conditions of individuals and society.
Target audience
Graduates from majors such as Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Medicine, Pedagogy and other majors related to the study of human movement and Sports.
